Jan Hanrath

Co-founder & CEO

Jan Hanrath, Dipl.-Soz.-Wiss., studied Political Science, European Law and Psychology (focusing on intercultural communication) at the University of Duisburg-Essen. From 2008 to 2014, he was a researcher at the Institute for Development and Peace (INEF) at the University of Duisburg-Essen, where his work focused on topics including the transmission of conflicts through migration processes and German Middle East policy. As co-founder and CEO of CARPO, he is involved in various projects and oversees daily operations at CARPO’s headquarters. In recent years, he has worked as a researcher and coordinator on projects covering Iran-Saudi dialogue, economic development in Yemen, migration and conflict, political transformation in the Middle East and academic exchange.
