Sina has been with CARPO since 2019, focusing on the intersection of environmental and health issues. Her work encompasses a range of topics, including healthy urbanism, energy and climate security, and environmental education through art. In her role, she actively participates in UNFCCC negotiations. Sina holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography and a Master of Science in Development and Globalization, specializing in Medical Geography, both from the University of Bonn. Her academic research explores the connections between mental health, environmental change, humanitarian assistance, and migration.
Before joining CARPO, Sina worked with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Kyrgyzstan, where she contributed to initiatives aimed at enhancing perinatal healthcare and advancing digitalization in health and social protection systems across Asia and Eastern Europe. In her subsequent position at a Kyrgyz non-governmental organization, she focused on preventing child abandonment, promoting professional development for healthcare personnel, and providing support to families with disabled or chronically ill children.
Sina is passionate about the concept of planetary health, and her regional expertise extends to Central Asia, the Arabian Peninsula and West Asia.
