Advancing the Policy Relevance of Gender Studies at the University of Aden

September 2025 – December 2025

This DAAD-funded Ta’ziz Short-term Measure is implemented together with the Woman Research & Training Center (WRTC) at the University of Aden, Yemen. It aims to contribute to the updating and further development of WRTC’s master program as well as the development of its PhD program through knowledge exchange between German researchers as well as WRTC and German and Yemeni non-university staff focusing on the policy-relevant topics of governance, climate change and economic development. This knowledge exchange will be implemented through virtual exchanges as well as a three-day conference to take place in Amman, Jordan, in December 2025. This project builds and expands on the partners’ joint collaboration in the framework of ‘Science Communication for Social Cohesion and Inclusion in Yemen’.
