The October 2024 BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, marked a pivotal moment in the evolving relations between Gulf and Sub-Saharan African (SSA) nations, reflecting broader shifts toward a multipolar global order. The inclusion of Ethiopia, the UAE, and prospective member Saudi Arabia in BRICS has created new opportunities for economic diversification, reduced reliance on the US dollar, and the development of alternative financial systems. This paper examines how BRICS serves as a platform for deepening Gulf-SSA partnerships, driven by mutual investment, resource needs, and strategic interests, while addressing challenges such as governance disparities and risks of unequal relationships. The findings underscore how BRICS fosters South-South cooperation, enabling these regions to enhance their geopolitical standing in a shifting international landscape.
