The 35th Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Tianjin was the largest in the organization’s history, showcasing China’s ambition to promote an alternative global order centered on equality, multilateralism, and the Global Governance Initiative. The summit also deepened ties with Iran and member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), reflecting a broader shift towards diversified partnerships. Plans for an SCO Development Bank and cooperation in energy and digital technologies aim to enhance economic integration.
